REQUESTED WATERING SCHEDULE

PWCSA’s lawn and landscaping irrigation schedule can offer immediate benefits and future rewards. By following the proposed watering schedule in the chart above, you can help yourself, your neighbors and PWCSA to:

  • Maintain adequate water pressure in your neighborhood.
  • Avoid purchasing additional water capacity, which can decrease the extent of future rate increases.

ALL CUSTOMERS: Please avoid watering lawns and landscaping between the peak demand hours of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Complying with the recommended irrigation schedule helps to reduce system-wide peak water demand by 50%. In addition, programming your irrigation system controller to activate at a different time than your neighbor helps to provide sufficient water pressure in your home. You can also install rain sensors and/or soil moisture detectors to avoid unnecessary irrigation and further reduce stress on the water system.
