Project Description
The existing Heritage Hunt Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) will be replaced to increase pumping capacity from 3.6 million gallons per day (MGD) to 7.81 MGD. The new, higher-capacity SPS will be capable of serving the anticipated build-out of residential and commercial developments in and around the Heritage Hunt community. A new 24-inch Force Main will be constructed from the SPS to a location at the corner of Heathcote Boulevard and Route 29.
Project Status
The design, permitting, and advertisement for bids occurred from July 2020 through January 2022. The bid opening for the construction contract was on February 15, 2022. The Board of Directors approved the construction contract award on April 14, 2022. Construction began in August 2022; the estimated final completion is August 2024.
Current Project Activities
1. Construction of the new pumping station is approximately 80% complete.
2. Installation of yard, mechanical, and process piping, HVAC duct, electrical items, and painting of interior walls inside the SPS building is in progress.
3. There are approximately 2,500 feet of FM remaining to be installed parallel to Heathcote Boulevard, which is on-going.
4. Contractor repaving of impacted areas of Heritage Hunt Drive with temporary asphalt is complete. The Heritage Hunt HOA will repave the full width of Heritage Hunt Drive, Fieldstone Way, and Alderwood Way after the project is complete
5. Temporary Extension of Work Hours: The Heritage Hunt HOA has approved supplemental work hours through the end of April 2024:
- Saturday’s work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the force main construction and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on pump station construction.
- Sunday work hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the force main construction.
- Current HOA-approved Saturday workdays are 4/6/24, 4/13/24 and 4/20/24. Sunday workdays are 4/7/24, 4/14/24 and 4/21/24.
